If you’re a fan of extreme driving games like Sega Rally and Colin McRae then buckle up and get set for Rally Master Pro.

This console-style rally game for mobile offers a slick combination of polished 3D graphics and high-octane driving action. Rally Master Pro offers you the chance to play a career as a rally driver, moving up from amateur to expert over a series of 27 different tracks. The demo only allows you to play one rally over nine tracks in beginner mode, but it still offers enough enjoyment to keep you racing for hours.

Rally Master Pro offers a high level of realism, besides its excellent graphics and realistic car physics. Rallies are set over a variety of terrains, with differing weather conditions each time, and the cars respond accordingly. Damage is accumulated if you veer off the road or crash into a wall. This means that, although the controls are easy to learn (it’s pretty much all done through the directional pad or the 2, 4, 6, and 8 keys), it requires a lot of skill to achieve glory in Rally Master Pro.

Other neat presentation touches in Rally Master Pro include changeable viewpoints, and a replay mode with playback controls. Aside from the carer mode, Rally Master Pro features a time trial mode, and some fun mini games that let you win points to repair damage.

There’s little to fault in Rally Master Pro, and this is an essential game for any petrolhead’s mobile phone.

If you feel like adding a touch of color to your S60 phone then give the ColourFull Flow theme a try.

This free theme provides an interesting new treatment for the Symbian mobile interface. Instead of using descriptive pictures as icons, ColourFull flow relies just on a color scheme. Icons appear in a series of different colors and each has a word written on it that describes what it links to.

It’s an interesting idea and the combination of an elegant font and glowing icon colors make ColourFull Flow nice to look at. Unfortunately, the color-coding system is very vague (if, indeed, it exists at all). What’s more, much of the text on the icons has had to be abbreviated so much that it’s often difficult to distinguish what they represent from a distance.

Besides adding these menu icons, the ColourFull Flow theme applies a new background wallpaper to the home screen – it’s a bit dull, though. That said, I did like the new clock skin that comes with it.

ColoulFull Flow is a bit more original than most S60 themes, but it could’ve been implemented a lot better.

Simon is a mobile version of the popular Simon Says electronic game made famous in the Eighties, when it was the closest thing many people had to a modern day video game.

In case you’ve never played it, the object of the game is to match the pattern of flashing colored lights displayed by Simon. For every pattern you remember correctly you score one point, and if you get enough points you can move onto the next level.

Simon is still as interesting a challenge as it was thirty years ago, and is great for improving your powers of pattern recognition. However, this version is fairly basic in terms of its presentation and gameplay. There is only really one screen and one game mode, so if it’s variety you’re after you’ve come to the wrong place. There is a high scores table though, which will keep you coming back for more for a while in order to break your record.

Simon says: “install this program”. I say: “install it if you want but it’s nothing special”.

Personality Psychology Pro 1.4 (SP)-Series of fun tests to analyse your personality

It seems that any magazine you pick up these days will have half a dozen personality tests in it. Wouldn’t it be good if instead of having to buy all these magazines to test different aspects of your personality you could do them all in one hit?

Well, that’s basically what Personality Pyschology Pro offers. The application is divided into a series of tests based around five different areas of personality, namely: Introversion/Extraversion, Emotional Stability, Mastery/Sympathy, Sexuality, and Social/Political Attitudes. Each of these areas is broken down into a series of tests covering different the different aspects that affect that personality trait. So, for instance, Introversion/Extraversion is divided into tests for Activity, Sociability, Risk-Taking, Impulsiveness, Expressiveness, Reflectiveness and Responsibility.

Before you start you need to create a new profile for yourself by entering your name and date of birth (although this doesn’t seem to have any bearing on the results). You can then progress through each test, which normally contain about 30 questions each. As with most personality tests, a statement is displayed and you must click Yes, No, or Maybe depending on whether it is true of you or not. One of the things I liked about these tests is that you can jump backwards and forwards through them and change your answers once you’ve had time to really reflect on them.

Once you’ve completed a test, you’ll be shown a chart outlining the degree to which you exhibit a particular personality trait, which also displays the ‘normal’ level. More detailed analysis of what your results actually mean is also available from this menu.

This is a very comprehensive personality testing solution which analyses virtually every area of the way you are. The only problem is, it will take you an age to complete all the tests and it can become a little monotonous after a while.

Nevertheless, if you want a complete tool for measuring your personality, Personality Psychology Pro certainly beats thumbing through endless magazine pages.
