Magmic Sudoku 1.0.11-The famous word puzzler on your BlackBerry

If you’re a Sudoku fan then you’ll doubt be interested in trying out Magmic Sudoku on your BlackBerry.

This game brings the famous number puzzler to your mobile device, offering 200 different challenges set over four levels of difficulty. The controls are pretty easy to get to grips with. You use the ball to move to a square on the grid, then enter a number by typing it on the keypad or moving the ball up and down.

Magmic Sudoku features different game board styles for each of the levels, though with all of them you have the option to revert to a more classic style, from the in-game menu. You can also choose to show or hide conflict checks, skip givens, and toggle a dot system on and off.

In reality, Magmic Sudoku doesn’t offer anything new or exciting to the Sudoku genre in terms of graphics or gameplay. It’s worth noting also that this demo version is particularly short, lasting for just one day.

Magmic Sudoku will appeal to die-hard number fans, but essentially, this is a very average Sudoku game for BlackBerry.

Earth Theme-The whole world in your hand

Every wished you could grab hold of the whole world and shake it about a bit? Well, now you can, thanks to the Earth Theme.

This free Nokia theme adds an imposing background wallpaper to your home screen, featuring an image of the Earth taken from Space, in front of a plain black backdrop. Earth Theme also adds new icons to your shortcut bar and transforms the time and date bar by adding a large, easy-to-read clock and applying a stylish gray highlight to the bar.

Earth Theme also includes a few new menu icons that appear in the applications menu and various settings menus. It would have been nice if there were a few more icons, and also if they were designed to better suit the Earth Theme.

It’s not the most radical skin ever, but the Earth Theme presents a striking way to pay homage to our planet on your phone.

Fed up of missing calls or important text messages because you forget to check them? Wish you could have some sort of reminder that prompts you to access them? Well, look no further than Remind Me, which lets you do so with ease.

The Symbian application offers you a sophisticated system of notification, either through a series of beeps or email alerts, including alerts via MMS or notices that change the lighting of the screen.

The app takes a bit of configuring due to its high customisability factor. This is not necessarily a bad thing though as for missed calls, unread SMS messages and voicemails you can set separate alert tones, adjust the volume of each tone.

Another nice feature is the ability to set which phone Profiles to enable the alerts in. This means that if you’re in an important meeting, or driving a car the alerts will not sound. Nevertheless, if you forget to set this option, or change your profile when in a quiet place, the tones can be pretty annoying when they constantly go off.

If you’re forever missing important calls and messages then Remind Me is well worth a look.
