WordPress is one of the most popular blogging platforms around these days, and now you can access the service through your iPhone.

WordPress for iPhone allows you to access your control panel through your Apple mobile in order to manage your self-hosted or WordPress.com blog on the go. Not only does the application let you quickly add a new post, but you can also access and modify existing posts, as well as managing comments.

Another plus point about WordPress for iPhone is that you can upload photos directly from your device to your blog.

This all sounds great in theory, but unfortunately the execution of WordPress for iPhone is far from perfect. For starters, you’ll have to limit yourself to very short posts because the iPhone keyboard isn’t particularly well suited to churning out reams of text. What’s more, the visual interface and its associated imagery aren’t up to much, and we experienced regular crashes when using WordPress for iPhone.

It’s a handy tool for bloggers who are desperate to add content while they’re away from their computer, but WordPress for iPhone is far from perfect.
